Spintax for natural variation

Use {{variation one|variation two|variation three}} syntax anywhere in subject lines or body copy. ForgeSend renders a unique version per send, chosen randomly at dispatch time. Custom delays between steps

Set the exact number of days between each sequence step. Day 1 sends immediately on campaign launch. Subsequent steps queue automatically at the configured delay. Delays are per-step and fully configurable — a 3-step sequence might send on Day 1, Day 4, and Day 9. ForgeSend respects your timing exactly.

Auto-pause on reply

The moment a prospect replies to any step, ForgeSend detects it and pauses their remaining steps. Their lead status updates to REPLIED and pending send jobs cancel immediately. You will never send a follow-up after a conversation has started. The auto-pause works across Gmail, Outlook, and SMTP inboxes.

Per-step analytics

Open, click, bounce, and reply events are tracked per campaign step. The Analytics page surfaces sent, opened, clicked, bounced, and replied counts per campaign. Identify which step in your sequence drives the most replies and optimise accordingly. Data is available immediately after the first sends dispatch.

Smart Field — conditional personalisation

Go beyond static merge tags. Pick a Built-in field, a Custom/enrichment field, or a Tag, apply a comparison — equals, contains, greater than, less than, before, after — and set separate "Then" text for a match and "If none" text as the fallback. A live coverage percentage shows how many of your active leads actually have the field populated before you launch.

What is spintax and how does it work?

Spintax uses {{option one|option two}} syntax to randomise copy per send. ForgeSend picks one variant per recipient at dispatch time, making every email subtly unique.

Can I pause or edit a sequence after it launches?

Yes. You can pause a campaign at any time from the campaign builder. Editing steps on an active campaign takes effect on the next scheduled send.

How many steps can a sequence have?

There is no hard limit on sequence steps. Most effective cold outreach uses 3–5 steps.

Does auto-pause work if a prospect replies to a later step?

Yes. Auto-pause triggers on any reply to any step in the sequence. ForgeSend cancels all remaining pending jobs for that contact regardless of which step they replied to.

What is Smart Field?
