Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026
Purpose
This policy sets out what ForgeSend may and may not be used for. It applies to all users of the ForgeSend cloud service and all operators running a self-hosted ForgeSend installation.
Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension or licence termination without refund.
Permitted use
ForgeSend is built for legitimate B2B cold outreach — contacting businesses and professionals about products or services relevant to them, where there is a lawful basis for doing so.
Permitted uses include:
- Outreach to business contacts where a legitimate interest basis exists under UK GDPR or equivalent regulation
- Follow-up sequences to contacts who have previously engaged with your business
- Outreach to contacts who have given explicit consent to receive communications
Prohibited use
You must not use ForgeSend to:
Spam and bulk sending
- Send unsolicited bulk email with no legitimate interest or consent basis
- Send to purchased, harvested, or scraped email lists where no lawful basis for contact exists
- Send to contacts who have previously unsubscribed or opted out
Illegal and harmful content
- Send content that is illegal in England and Wales or the recipient's jurisdiction
- Impersonate another person, company, or brand
- Send phishing, fraudulent, or deceptive communications
- Promote illegal products or services
Technical abuse
- Attempt to circumvent ForgeSend's sending limits or deliverability checks
- Use ForgeSend to probe, attack, or send malware to any system
- Resell access to ForgeSend without a valid agency or white-label licence
Data protection violations
- Process personal data in violation of UK GDPR or equivalent data protection law
- Upload contact lists obtained without a lawful basis
- Use ForgeSend to process sensitive personal data (health, financial, political, religious) without explicit consent
Fair use
Each cloud plan's stated email volume, as shown on the pricing page, is the actual usage limit for that plan — not a soft guideline. Accounts that consistently exceed their plan's stated volume may be contacted to discuss an appropriate plan or asked to upgrade.
"Unlimited inboxes" means there is no cap on how many inboxes you can connect to your workspace. It does not increase your plan's email sending volume — inbox connections and email volume are governed separately.
This does not affect self-hosted operators, who manage their own infrastructure and are not subject to a platform-enforced volume cap.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates this policy, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. No refund will be issued for accounts suspended due to policy violations.
Reporting abuse
If you believe ForgeSend is being used in violation of this policy, report it to [email protected].
